< Diary Periods < Changing the Start and End times of the Diary Columns
Navigate to ADMIN > SETTINGS > Diary Settings > Diary Periods
-
When services are added to Pet Sitter Plus, they are given a "time" and the values you assign to the "start time" and "end time" settings in "Diary Periods" will control which diary column your services will appear in.
-
Each of the 4 columns of the diary (refer DIARY & SCHEDULING) represents a period of time which can be given a label, for example your "Morning" column could represent a period of time from midnight to 10:00am
-
Note that even though services can also be configured with a "time block", it is the value of "time" assigned to a service which governs where it appears in the diary.
-
Column 4 is the "catch all" column which means that any "time" during any 24 hour period that is not defined in columns 1 2 and 3 will be assigned to column 4.
-
Example, if you define your morning column as 7:00am to 10:00am, then the period of time from midnight to 7:00am (which is NOT defined as part of column 1) will become assigned to column 4. This means that any service assigned a time of between midnight and 7:00am will appear in column 4. As this is generally not what you would want to happen, it is strongly advised that;
-
your morning column (column 1) should always start from midnight and
-
that the start and end times assigned to the first three columns should be contiguous (ie with no gaps in between start and end times).

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SCREEN HAS TWO UPDATE BUTTONS. IT IS THE UPDATE BUTTON HALF WAY DOWN THE SCREEN THAT CONTROLS THE UPDATE FUNCTION OF THE DIARY PERIODS.
