If the time that a sitter checks-in is not recorded properly, this will trigger a notification that may affect how the travel and work time is calculated.
Also under normal circumstances the check-in and check-out locations should be within a few meters of each other and should also be close to or at the client's address.
If this is not the case then these situations need to be highlighted and a notification triggered for Admin to take action if necessary. This will be seen in the Staff Activity report which contains information that proves that the sitter checked-in or out some considerable distance from the client's address and therefore not at the correct scheduled time for the service.
When this happens the sitter has effectively included some travel time in the visit time which in turn misrepresents the length of time they spent at the client's house or delivering the service.

How do I set the Late Checkin tolerance?
Decide on an acceptable time in minutes before you want to see a notification in the Staff Activity Report. For example, too low a time setting could prompt too many notifications in your report.
Enter a value that represents the maximum time, eg. 30 minutes.
Below is an example Staff Activity Report where a sitter has checked-in at a time over the late checkin tolerance that was set of 30 minutes.
A notification has been triggered to warn Admin that there could be a problem with the calculation of the sitters work and travel time or that the sitter has not arrived on time to deliver a service.
